Love and Laughter with Buttons

How about an anniversary card to share with you today?  I created this for Verses Rubber Stamps using their beautiful The Two of You stamp from their newest 2016 release.  I went crazy with the buttons because I was in a whimsical mood and I wanted it to be pretty but still somewhat masculine so both people would appreciate the card.  Wouldn't this be fun to do in shades of blue or orange or purple or even rainbow colors?

I hope you are having a wonderful week!

CAS365 Birthday Daffodils

I'm back with another Clean And Simple card to share with you today.  Today's CAS challenge (CAS365) over on SCS is to make a card with daffodils.  I scoured through my stash of older stamps and found this pretty little daffodil stamp from Flourishes.  In my mind, daffodils are always a bright happy yellow, so I watercolored them with some yellow ink.  I added some bright yellow seam binding and a birthday sentiment below.

Come play along with our CAS challenge this week!  It's always fun to see what you create.  And come on back next week - it's my turn to host the CAS challenge and it's going to be a fun and sparkly one!  Hee hee hee!!!

Glittery Twinkle

Happy Saturday, everyone!  I'm sharing another card I made for Verses Rubber Stamps today.  The background is a Glitter Ribbons technique from Technique Junkies - such a fun and easy way to create a glittery and sparkly background.  I embossed the Twinkle Star sentiment with gold embossing powder so it coordinates with the gold glitter in the background.

There are so many fabulous sentiment stamps over at Verses Rubber Stamps.  Browse through the Quotables section - aren't those awesome??  Every time I look through those, I find more to go on my wish list.  :-)

Have a wonderful weekend!

Watercolor Ombre Love (CAS364)

Hi folks!  There is a new CAS challenge up over on SCS today, and this one requires a bit more thought to put together.  Lee is challenging us to make a card using things that start with the letters in the word LOVE.  For example, L - lamb, O - oval die cut, V - violet ink, E - embellishment.  Well, I couldn't make it that easy for myself.  LOL!  So I came up with some other ideas for my words:

L - Love stamp from Art Neko
O - ombre technique
V - vanilla embossing powder
E - (heat) embossing and embossing powder

I started by heat embossing the Love stamp with vanilla embossing powder onto some watercolor paper.  I pulled out a brush, got it wet, dipped it into some rose colored ink and watercolored directly over the embossed area.  I concentrated the color at the bottom and let it get lighter as I went up.  That gave me a nice ombre effect.  I let the piece dry for several hours, and then I adhered it to a rose card base.

I know that Valentine's Day is over, but this card could be used for an anniversary, an engagement, or for a just because I love you occasion.  Think about all the other color possibilities you could use for this ombre effect.  It would be fun to have a rainbow of cards like this!

Starry Moon

Happy Friday!  Here's a quick and easy card to make for any occasion - Valentine's Day, anniversary, birthday, thank you, or just because.  I embossed the beautiful sentiment called Moon and Back from Verses Rubber Stamps with white embossing powder, and then I added all the stars with a white gel pen.  The moon was punched with a circle punch - just punch out a circle, then put the circle back into the punch about halfway and punch again.   Easy peasy!

Have a great weekend!

Hugs and Kisses and Flowers

Good morning!  Here's another Hugs and Kisses card but this time I've paired it with some fun and colorful flowers.  This Hugs & Kisses stamp from Verses Rubber Stamps is very versatile, so you can use it with anything.  The card I posted on Sunday with this Hugs & Kisses stamp was paired with X's and O's in the background.  There are so many possibilities with this sweet little sentiment.

I hope you are having a wonderful week.  :-)

Be Mine

Are you ready for Valentine's Day?  It's going to be here in less than a week, and I started to panic when I realized I hadn't made anything for my hubby yet.  LOL  I pulled out these adorable stamps from Art Neko and made this CAS (Clean And Simple) card.  I wanted to keep it masculine, so there are no flowers, no ribbons, no glitter or sequins or any of that frilly stuff.  I used a bold masculine color combo of black, white, and red, which I think he will appreciate.

I embossed the "Be Mine" sentiment on red cardstock and then cut it out with a heart die.  I also embossed the adorable little Cupid stamp onto black cardstock, and the added the heart next to it.  The heart is popped up with foam tape.

If you play along with the CAS challenges over on Splitcoaststampers, you'll see this card as one of the samples for this week's challenge.  That's right!  I'm a member of the CAS team!  :-)  You'll be seeing my samples as well as my challenges in the CAS forum and I will post them here to my blog as well.  So come check out our challenges each week and play along by sharing your clean and simple artwork.

Hugs and Kisses

Hi folks!  I've been making some sample cards for Verses Rubber Stamps, and this is one of those samples.  When I was a kid, I used to write letters to my grandparents all the time, and I always put XOXOXO in there to give them hugs and kisses.  That is what came to mind when I saw this Hugs and Kisses stamp.  I die cut some x's and o's and glued them down to make the background, and then I stamped the sentiment and added it to the center of my x's and o's.

I have more samples to share with you, so come on back this week for some more eye candy.  Can you believe next Sunday is Valentine's Day?  Didn't we just celebrate the New Year a few days ago??  LOL
